‘The Grind”
Ive heard the term so much since I started my new job and as much as I tried I just can’t resist anymore. So Ive just been on the grind.
Funny thing bout the grind. My grind is the best grind.
I had the weekend off and decided to stick just to the PBR. Of course there was a couple #paperplanes flown, but pretty much just beer.
Anyway, while enjoying one of my morning beers we build a little can tower as always. This was a pretty great one, we from there continued on our left overs and thought,
“This is only a couple nights worth. We drink alot of PBR. It wouldn’t take to long for this to add up. I need a man cave in my apartment….BEER WEEK!!!!!!!!”
And so began this best worst idea of the year.
7 days of Nothing. But. Beer.
A case a day, minimum. figure 120 for full week participation.
With the cans and boxes we are building a castle, my cave, that will take up about half my living room. As the day continued, the tower grew, and left overs were near gone. So we make a run for some Grizz mint, American Spirits, and Chicken Nuggets. By the time we got back we had gained a bottle of some mid level vodka. odd shaped bottle, plastic bottle, but hey it was late and it was Sunday so whatch ya gonna do.
Yes, the golden rule popped in my mind right away but it was a bottle of mids. Just what the flip would you do in a sitsuation like that.
We turned on The Big Lebowski and popped the bottle.
Started with the Roomie shot.
Chased by a bro shot.
Continued with the hoe shot.
Followed up with a smoke and another shot.
Two things.
1. For those of you who have drank here you know that we use double sized Led Zeppelin shot glasses.
2. This all took place before the opening credits were done.
Woke up Monday morning and got right back on the grind. not sure how I got in bed, What happened after we started Lebowski, or how on earth my alarm was set.
After spending the day at work just wondering what happened, what went wrong, how on earth did we all black out.
Beer before liquor, never been sicker.
Liquor before beer, in the clear.
We broke the rule and blacked out.
Its rules such as the one above that are not meant to be broken. Follow them.
